Sucks To Be Me: The All-True Confessions of Mina Hamilton Teen Vampire (Maybe)

written by: Kimberly Pauley

releases to public: August 26th, 2008

pages: 304

my rating 1-5 blood drops (a.k.a stars):

4 blood drops

Mina Hamilton has odd parents that are way different than every teen's odd parents; they are vampires. Mina's best friend is Serena, who knows nothing about Mina's parent's secret. Mina and Serena do everything together, they hangout, go shopping, and do sleepovers. When the Northwest Regional Vampire Council finds out that her parents have been keeping Mina a secret for all these years they give Mina a choice.

Mina has to decide whether to become a vampire like her parents or to stay human. If she chooses to become a vampire, she won't be able to see her friend Serena anymore. And if she chooses to stay human, she might end up loosing her family.

Mina Hamilton is the perfect character for this story. She is funny, sarcastic, and she speaks her mind. I really enjoyed reading this book because it was written in Mina's point of view and you get to hear all her thoughts. I laughed out loud at least two times per each page. Kimberly Pauley did a great job of telling this amusing story. I hope that she continues writing stories that are as humorous as this was.
I recommend this book to all teens that like funny and relaxing reads. It is a great book to read during a rainy day or a day at the beach. So make sure you pick this book up when it comes to a bookstore near you.

~*~ Due to content in this book, I do not recommend that anyone under the age of 13 read this book.~*~
